1. What constitutes a resident?

A resident is defined by the city as ANY of the following:

• Anyone living in the Cedar Falls Property Tax Base.
• Anyone living in the Cedar Falls School District.
• Any student having a Cedar Falls Public School District I.D.

2. What is the definition of a family on your family passes?

The term family is defined by the City as ALL 3 of the following conditions which must be met:

• An adult or two adults who are related to each other by marriage.
• Any child who is related to either or both of the adults by blood, marriage, adoption, or legal guardianship, claimed as dependents for income tax purposes.
• All of whom will occupy a single dwelling unit on a regular continuing basis.

3. Do you have a pool at your facility/Where are your pools?

We do not have a pool within the Recreation and Fitness Center. The city operates 3 pools, two indoor facilities; Holmes Junior High Pool & Peet Jr. High Pool both open year round and the outdoor Falls Aquatic Center open during the summer season.

5. When and where can we purchase our summer pool pass?

Passes may be purchased in the spring at the Cedar Falls Recreation & Fitness Center only. We encourage you to come in early as there is a discount prior to May 15. The pool will open the Saturday of Memorial weekend. For more information go to Aquatics

6. When can we begin signing our kids up for activities?

Program Registration for anything held in the Spring and Summer begins January 15
Program Registration for anything held in the Fall and Winter begins July 15
