[ARCHIVED] Police Department Accepts Unwanted Prescription Drugs 24/7

The Cedar Falls Police Department is now taking back unused, unwanted and expired prescription drugs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. Citizens can drop their unwanted medication in a secure box in the police department lobby.  No needles should be dropped into the drop box.  The former post office drop box, has been painted white and blue, and is covered in the department’s insignia.  The effort will help to keep prescription drugs out of the hands of people who could misuse or abuse them, and out of the trash and groundwater.  Labor and materials to refurbish the box were donated by Signs by Tomorrow, Coffman’s Auto Body and CNC Welding and Sandblasting.
