[ARCHIVED] Antique doll exhibit draws national attention - Show dates extended

The "Friends of Childhood: Antique and Vintage Dolls," exhibit at the Cedar Falls Historical Society's Carriage House Museum has gained national. The original closing date for the display was December 2nd and it has been extended to January 13, 2008 due to popular demand.

The exhibit includes over 1,000 items, 600 of which are antique and vintage dolls. There is also an antique doll and baby carriage display, a vintage clothing from the turn of the century display, and a display of 80 enlarged antique photos of children with their dolls included in the exhibit. The entire exhibit covers 200 years of dolls from 1760-1960.

Days and hours the exhibit will be open are: Tuesday through Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm and on Sundays 1:00-4:00pm. The museum is located at 308 West 3rd Street in Cedar Falls. For more information call 319-266-5149.
