[ARCHIVED] 48-Hour Ordinance to be Enforced.

Due to the recent snowfall the Cedar Falls Police Department will be strictly enforcing the 48-hour parking ordinance (Sec. 26-261.17) throughout the city. This ordinance is designed to serve many purposes; one if which is to assist in the effort of removing snow from city streets. Vehicles cannot be parked in one location on city streets for more than 48-hours. Officers will be actively enforcing the ordinance by noting vehicles that have not been moved since Tuesday’s snowfall. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and the owner contacted to move the vehicle. If the vehicle is not moved upon the officer’s request, the vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense. Officers will begin enforcement on Thursday, December 13th.

Please call the Cedar Falls Police Department for more information at 273-8612.
