The Cedar Falls Police Department is excited to announce that the crime report numbers are in for 2013 and the city of Cedar Falls saw a 12.1% decrease in 2013.
Officers responded to 23,776 calls for service compared to 23,639 in 2012 with 2,097 reported crimes. Vandalism, thefts and assaults showed the largest percentage of decrease this year as reflected below. The community did see a significant increase in drug law violations. There were 1,111 arrests made this year which is just down four from 2012. No murders occured in 2013 and the city only experienced four robberies.
