All Black Hawk County residents are invited to the upcoming Electronics Recycling Drop-off and Household Hazardous Materials Drop-off on Saturday, August 24th at the Cedar Falls Public Works Complex, 1500 Bluff Street, Cedar Falls. The drop-off will take place 9:00AM - 2:00PM and is co-sponsored by the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Cedar Falls.
A list of electronics and toxic materials that will be accepted from households at the event is available here.
Household hazardous materials will be accepted for free from county residents, whereas fees may apply for older computer monitors and TVs that contain Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs). During the drop-off event two CRTs will be accepted per vehicle at no charge. Each additional CRT will be $5.00. A large assortment of other electronics will be accepted for recycling free of charge. Please refer to the official list. Business waste will not be accepted.
