[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Help In Solving Burglary - UPDATE

Cedar Falls Police are seeking help from the public to solve a recent business burglary. McDonalds Restaurant at 610 West 1st Street was broken into during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 20th. A window was broken to gain entry and the burglar stole food and beverages inside of the restaurant.

Surveillance video shows the burglar entering the restaurant at 1:55 AM. The lone burglar prepares a meal and consumes it while in the restaurant and departs out the broken window with a beverage nearly a half hour later. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's with brown hair and a slender build. A photo of the burglar can be viewed by selecting the link below.

Cedar Falls Police have made an arrest for a burglary that occurred at the McDonalds Restaurant at 610 West Street in Cedar Falls on November 20th. A 21 year old male turned himself into the Cedar Falls Police Department after seeing media coverage of the crime on November 22nd.

Whitley Allen Teslow, age 21, of 100 Wartburg Blvd, Waverly, Iowa, was arrested on November 22nd and charged with one count each of Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Theft in the 5th Degree.

Burglary in the 3rd degree is a Class D Felony. A Class D Felony in punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of at least $750.00 but no more than $7500.00.
