On 09/11/11, the Cedar Falls Police received a report of vandalism in the downtown Parkade area. Investigation revealed that a white male suspect had poked a hole in the bottom of a paint can and proceeded to walk in the downtown area leaving behind a white paint trail. The paint trail began in the east alleyway in the 300 block of Main Street and led south on Main Street. The paint trail continued for several blocks, leaving paint on the decorative brick sidewalk along the Parkade, street and surrounding sidewalks. Cost of repair and clean-up is estimated at over $7000.00.

Cedar Falls Community Main Street is offering a $600.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in the case.
