Cedar Falls Public Works will no longer sell yard waste bags. The brown, biodegradable yard waste bags were sold at the Transfer Station at 15th and State Street and were typically collected during the Spring and Fall free collection weeks.
The bags may still be purchased from local vendors and the City will continue to collect them during the free pickup weeks only. This year free yard waste pickup will be from April 25 - April 29, 2011 and October 31 – November 11, 2011.
Bags will be collected under the following conditions:
- Bags will only be collected on the curbside
- Bags must be 3 feet away from any objects,including carts
- Weight limit 40lbs
- No plastic bags
