The Iowa Cancer Plan is currently in the process of being revised for 2012-2016. The cancer plan addresses critical cancer problems in Iowa and sets priorities for comprehensive cancer control practices across the state. It is divided into four sections: prevention, screening/early detection, treatment, and quality of life.
Before the plan is finalized, The Iowa Cancer Consortium would like your feedback. Healthcare providers, cancer survivors, family members, caregivers, non-profit organizations and interested community members are all invited to attend an event being held Wednesday, March 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Sartori Memorial Hospital's west dining room. Sartori Memorial Hospital is located at 515 College Street in Cedar Falls.
Please RSVP to Kelly Rollins by February 23rd. If you have any questions, please email Kelly Rollins or call the Iowa Cancer Consortium at 319-467-4569. This feedback session is free and includes breakfast.
If you cannot make it to the event or would like to see the draft of the Iowa Cancer Plan, it will be available online after March 1st at the link below.
