[ARCHIVED] Cedar Falls Police to Enforce 48 Hour Parking Ordinance

The Cedar Falls Police Department would like to remind residents of the 48-hour parking ordinance. With the recent heavy snow fall in the metro area, snow plows and salt trucks need to be able to remove snow in all public right-of-ways to help ensure safe travel throughout town.

Beginning Sunday February 6th at 8:00 AM, the Cedar Falls Police Department will begin ticketing all vehicles in violations of the 48 hour ordinance. This is in response to the snowfall on February 1st and 2nd. Owners of vehicles parked on city streets continuously for over 48 hours are asked to move their vehicles to private driveways or areas of the street which have been plowed. Any vehicle not moved within 24 hours after receiving a citation will be towed at the owner’s expense.
