[ARCHIVED] Snow Emergency

The City has issued a snow emergency for the downtown areas's priority streets. City crews will be removing snow from 8:00 p.m. December 16th until 6:00 a.m. December 17th. Residents are reminded that no person shall leave a vehicle parked or abandoned on any “Emergency Snow Route” during the time that a snow emergency has been declared. Any vehicle that is parked on an emergency snow route during a snow emergency is subject to a $25.00 fine, towing, and impoundment. Emergency snow routes are designated by blue and white signs that are permanently posted year-round bearing the words “ Emergency Snow Route.” The area that will be cleared tonight is the area from State Street west to Franklin Street, and from 1st Street south to 6th Street. Police officers will begin ticketing and towing vehicles not removed by 10:00 p.m. tonight, December 16th.
