Main Street Reconstruction Project
Location: Main Street (6th Street to Seerley Boulevard) | Active Closures/Detours: Main Street from 6th to 11th Street and 18th Street-Seerley Boulevard Intersection
Project Completion Date: Summer 2025
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI, will continue with underground utilities along the block from 22nd - Seerley, while their subcontractor will continue with underground utilities along the block from 10th - 11th Street. At the Seerley Boulevard intersection, the contractor is continuing the installation of the new culvert. At the intersection of 6th and Main Street, the contractor has finished the hand pours and will continue working on miscellaneous concrete pours left between 6th-8th Street.

Olive Street Box Culvert
Location: Olive Street (Between 20th and 21st Street) | Active Closures/Detours: Olive Street Bridge Closed and Pettersen Plaza Closed
Project Completion Date: Fall 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI, and their subcontractor will be working on plantings along the plaza. Pettersen Plaza will be closed until the landscaping work is complete. Other crews will work on stabilizing areas around the culvert outlet.
West 27th Street Reconstruction
Location: West 27th Street between the high school and Hudson Road | Active Closures/Detours: West 27th Street
Project Completion Date: End of 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI will continue working on all three stages of the project. In stage one by Hudson Road, crews will be finishing trail connections, striping the new traffic lanes that were recently paved, and making adjustments to the traffic signal. In stage two by Greenhill Road, crews will be finalizing landscaping work in the roundabout. In stage three, crews will be paving the first section of the central roundabout and continue with preparing other areas for paving operations. West 27th Street remains closed west of the Greenhill Road intersection and to the west in front of the new High School.
West Viking Industrial Park Expansion (Phase I)
Location: West Viking Industrial Park
Project Completion Date: Summer 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI, will be mowing and addressing cleanup items along the newly paved section of Technology Parkway. Cedar Falls Utilities will be completing its underground utility installation at the intersections. After completion of the underground utility installation, the contractor will focus on driveway and sidewalk ADA ramps.
Greenhill & South Main Street Intersection Improvements
Location: Intersection of Greenhill Road and South Main Street | Active Closures/Detours: Outside lanes of Greenhill Road
Project Completion Date: Summer 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI, will continue the remaining work within the splitter islands and roundabout landscaping.
US 218 and IA 27 Interchange Project
Location: US 218/IA27/IA57/IA58 Interchange | Active Closures/Detours: Lane reduction and SB IA 58 ramp closed
Project Completion Date: Fall 2023
For the week of August 14, the Iowa DOT's contractor, Owen Contracting, will be continuing with paving operations on the northern lanes and preparing for paving operations on the loop ramp. With this stage, the northbound IA 27 to eastbound IA 57 loop ramp will continue to be closed as crews work to rebuild the existing ramp.

IA 58 and Ridgeway Reconstruction
Location: IA 58 between US 20 and Viking Road | Active Closures/Detours: Single lane closure on IA 58 south of Viking Road
Project Completion Date: Overall- Fall 2024
For the week of August 14, the Iowa DOT's contractor, PCI, will be starting on the box culvert and pavement removal along the easterly side of the interchange. An overall detour is currently established utilizing Hudson Road and Viking Road. During construction, access to Ridgeway Avenue from IA 58 will be maintained.

US 20 and IA 58 (Hudson Road) Resurfacing
Location: Hudson Road | Active Closures/Detours: Single Lane Closure on IA 58 (Hudson Road) and US 20 Bridges
Project Completion Date: Fall 2023
For the week of August 14, the DOT's contractor, Aspro, will continue with pavement patching on IA 58, also known as Hudson Road. Crews will also continue southerly on IA 58 into the City of Hudson. All ramps will remain open with traffic will be reduced to a single lane on IA 58 in each direction while patching work is ongoing. Lane closures will be taking place as crews work along the corridor.

Center Street Corridor Streetscape
Location: Center Street, North Cedar Falls | Active Closures/Detours: One lane closure a block at a time, as needed by the contractor
Project Completion Date: Summer 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, Owen Contracting, will continue with punch list-related work along the corridor. Various clean-up items and shoulder work in certain locations will be ongoing.
Ashworth Drive Roadway Extension
Location: Ashworth Drive/Hudson Road | Active Closure/Detours: Ashworth Drive entrance from Hudson Road is closed
Project Completion Date: November 17, 2023 (Substantial Completion)
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, Dave Schmitt Construction, will continue to install storm sewer. Crews are also working on grading operations as work progresses.
Cedar Heights Area Reconstruction - Phase A1
Location: West Ridgeway Drive | Active Closures/Detours: West Ridgeway Drive from 1514 Cherry Lane
Project Completion Date: March 1, 2024
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, Dave Schmitt Construction will finish the sanitary sewer work and will begin water main installation along West Ridgewood.
Intersection Improvements
Location: Hudson/Rideway Intersection, Prairie Parkway Roundabouts
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, K&W Electric, will be continuing with landscaping-related work on the Prairie Parkway roundabouts as weather allows. Crews will continue with underground utility borings for the new traffic signal at Hudson Road. The signal is estimated to be operational in September.
2023 Street Construction Project
West 18th Street (Hudson to Campus) and Madison Street (Belle to Virgil)
Active Closures/Detours: West 18th Street (Summit to Campus), Madison Street (Belle to Virgil)
Project Completion Date: Fall 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, PCI, will be wrapping up the pavement preparation ahead of the concrete subcontractor on Madison Street. The last segment of 18th Street will continue with watermain installation.
2023 Alley Reconstruction
Active Closures/Detours: Alley between East 2nd Street and East 3rd Street between Main and State Streets.
Project Completion Date: October 2023
For the week of August 14, the City's contractor, Vieth Construction, will be preparing the north side of the downtown alley located between East 2nd, East 3rd, Main, and State Street(s) for paving. Vieth has paved the driveway connection on the alley between Franklin, Clay, 13th, and 14th Street(s). Next, they will work on backfilling along the alley and seeding.
