The City of Cedar Falls is implementing a service whereby citizens can receive an email to their email account or a text message to their cell phone in the event of an emergency situation that warrants such notification. To participate in this service, go to www.cedarfalls.com/notify. You then select the Emergency Notification listing. You may register for both email and text message notification. You may change your subscription at any time by going to www.cedarfalls.com/notify, entering either your email address or cell phone text address, and clicking the Subscribe/Manage button.
There are other notification listings available, including job notices, meeting agendas and road construction.
Please note that to receive a text message to your cell phone you must obtain the correct email address format from your cellular service provider.
