Cedar Falls Public Safety is inviting parents of Cedar Falls students to learn more about social media trends, apps, and how to keep children safe on the internet during a Parent Internet Safety Presentation from Cedar Falls School Resource Officer (SRO), Liesel Reimers.
Two opportunities will be available for parents to attend the presentation with the first session taking place on April 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the second session will be held on April 19 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. All sessions will take place at the Cedar Falls Public Safety Center (4600 South Main Street).
"During my time as the Cedar Falls SRO, I have had to focus on social media trends and issues relating to juveniles and their internet use," said Officer Reimers. "This presentation will help parents be more aware of the trends I am seeing, how to keep their kids safe, and the purposes behind common social media apps."
Spaces are limited for this free presentation. To reserve a spot, email Amanda Huisman at amanda.huisman@cedarfalls.com.
