Center Street Corridor Streetscape Project: For the week of August 29, 2022, the City's contractor will continue with grading operation on the east side as crews will start to prepare for topsoil and seeding operations while other crews continue to build the bioretention cells between the edge of the road and newly placed sidewalk. The majority of sidewalk installations should be completed during the week. Center Street is currently in a one-way pattern for northbound traffic between Lone Tree Road and Clair Street.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction: For the week of August 29, 2022, the City's contractor will be paving the stretch of roadway north of the new Huntington Roundabout. Paving operations will be dependent on weather, but it is anticipated to take the full week. After the roadway is paved, crews will start preparing for the trail on the west side of the road and new driveway segments along the same corridor. Huntington will continue to be connected to the new roundabout by temporary pavement and will provide access south onto Cedar Heights Drive.

West Viking Industrial Park, Phase V (Located on Venture Way and Technology Parkway): For the week of August 29, 2022, the City's contractor will continue with mass grading operations and stabilization by seeding of completed areas. Underground utility work on Venture Way will continue as weather allows. Paving operations on the southern half of the project are anticipated to start around Labor Day.

Cyber Lane: The contractor did final seeding in the areas. The project should be ready for closeout at the end of this construction season.
Union Road Recreational Trail: The contractor is going to move in and prepare the topsoil to come in and permanently seed the project site.

Greenhill Road and South Main Street Intersection (Closure: Southbound traffic of Main Street on the south side of the intersection): The contractor is continuing with the water main installation on the southern half of the intersection. After the watermain has been installed and tested, the contractor will continue with the storm sewer installation. This step will continue over the following weeks.

West 27th Street Reconstruction: For the week of August 29, 2022, the City's contractor will continue with paving operations adjacent to West 27th at Panther Parkway with ADA ramps and sidewalk along the south side. Other crews will be working on grading, installation of street lights, and striping the new corridor. A reminder that all University of Northern Iowa parking lots will remain open with alternative access points during construction.
Lake Street Trail: Clearing and grubbing have been completed by the contractor. They have also completed excavation and are finishing up the grading of the subbase for the trail. Crews are working on prepping the subbase so that it is ready for paving crews to move in and prepare for the paving of the trail.
2022 Alley Reconstruction Project
The contractor has finished pouring the new concrete at the Tremont/Franklin/13th/14th Alley and the next steps are for the existing driveways to be tied into the new alley. Crews have completed seeding at the 9th/10th/Olive/Walnut alley. The contractor has tied in all of the driveways at the 11th/12th/State/Bluff alley. Next, they will follow with the permeable pavers for the 11th/12th/Bluff/State. Crews are working on the excavation and removals along 22nd Street to Seerley between Franklin and Clay Streets.

2022 Street Construction Project
West 18th Street Phase 1 (Located from Campus Street to Drury Lane): The contractor has completed the installation of the water services and storm sewer on West 18th Street. The concrete pavement could begin as early as the week of Labor Day.
Olive Street (4th to 6th Street): Olive Street main line concrete placement is completed, with the remaining intersection pours remaining and will be followed by backfill, driveways, and other misc items.

2022 Sidewalk Repair and Infill Project
West 7th and Francis Street: Waiting for the contractor to move back in to continue the ADA ramps and common panel replacements.
