Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- On East 4th Street, the contractor will continue working on the adjacent sidewalks by placing the concrete amenity pads/edge restraint and driveways. This work will be followed by the brick-laying contractor. As this work nears completion on East 4th Street, the intersection of Main Street and 4th Street will be temporarily closed to perform the last portion of curb repair and patching planned at the intersection.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of October 18, crews will be continuing on punch list items along the corridor from Highland to Franklin. As crews work to finalize the project, outside lane closures should be expected for work behind the back of the curb.

2021 Street Construction Project
Brandilynn Boulevard Stage 3 is ready for backfilling and landscaping. This segment of road is expected to reopen by October 22.
McClain Drive Stage 2 will be backfilled and sodded this week.
Kaspend Place spot repairs have been completed. The driveway approach replacements have been poured. These will be followed by an asphalt overlay on the street within the next two weeks.

Union Road Recreational Trail
During the week of October 18, crews will continue paving operation along the trail moving North along the project. The contractor will be working on spreading topsoil along the stretch of trail that has already been paved. Crews will be working on completing intersections tie-ins and are currently working on the trailer park entrances.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction (Cedar Heights Drive & Greenhill Road)
For the week of October 18, crews will be continuing with paving operations on the north half of the Cedar Heights and Greenhill intersection. East and westbound approaches on Greenhill Road will be the focus for paving during the week. While paving operations are ongoing, flaggers will be present to direct trucks in and out of the construction zone. Crews will also continue with work south of the intersection with underground utilities. East and westbound traffic on Greenhill Road will be maintained throughout construction.
Cyber Lane
Earthwork is finished except for the southeast area with the steep slopes. Grading operations continue for the week of October 18. Crews will be casting new tops for the existing stormwater inlet and are being coordinated with the contractor.
West 27th Street Sanitary Sewer Extension
For the week of October 18, crews will be continuing with underground sanitary sewer installation work south of West 27th Street. Crews will continue northerly as they work their way to the new high school. At this time, West 27th Street will remain open but a future full-width closure of West 27th Street should be expected in late October as crews work their way north.
2021 Permeable Alley Project (9th/10th Street and Main/State Alley and 12th/13th Street and Washington/Main Alley)
Crews are working on tying driveways back into the alley at the 9th and 10th Street alley and will follow with backfilling and grading operations. The 12th and 13th alley have been removed and Benton's Sand and Gravel will start laying tile line and placing the rock chamber next. As crews work on both alleys, alternative garbage pickup is established on the adjacent side streets.
