Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- On East 4th Street, the contractor is preparing for the mainline pave to be placed on either September 10 or the following week. The contractor will resume placing the concrete amenity pads along the parkade after the electrical conduit and subdrain are installed. This will be followed by the bricklaying contractor as they complete the west side of the 500 block.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of September 6, crews will be continuing with paving operations on the center lane of West 1st Street/ HWY 57. Traffic on West 1st Street/HWY 57 will be shifted to outside lanes while crews pave the center turn lane. A detour will be established using West 12th Street, Union Road, and West 1st Street/HWY 57 for westbound traffic on West 1st Street traveling south, and northbound Hudson Road traveling west. After completion of the center turn lane, traffic will be pushed back to the southern lanes head-to-head traffic pattern on West 1st Street/HWY 57. The current construction will continue to result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection.

2021 Street Construction Project

Brandilynn Boulevard Stage 3 will begin removals during the week of September 6. This closure will only cover the segment of Brandilynn Blvd at the eastern driveway of Mcdonald's. This will include the removal and replacement of the concrete surface.
McClain Drive Stage 2 begins paving the roadway during the week of September 6. After the mainline pavement is placed, the contractor will finish the hand pours around the intersection.
The new curb is now placed on Tremont Street. Driveways will be installed the week of September 6. This work will be followed by an asphalt mill and overlay.
The asphalt surface course for Cadillac Drive will be placed on September 3 or September 7 and the surface course on Pheasant Drive will be placed on September 7 or September 8.
Subdrain work around Kaspend Place is underway. Once the subdrain is installed, the driveways will be poured back and then followed with an asphalt overlay on the street.
Patching work on Millenium Drive will begin the week of September 6.
Union Road Recreational Trail
During the week of September 6, crews will start paving operations midweek by starting at West 27th Street and working north. Traffic will be maintained on Union Road throughout the project, but flaggers and 'Please Alternate' signage will be present at times of paving for the safety of the paving crews.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction (Cedar Heights Drive & Greenhill Road)
For the week of September 6, crews will continue with underground utility work on the north half of the Greenhill Road and Cedar Heights Drive intersection. The current traffic pattern will continue with east and westbound traffic on Greenhill Road maintained throughout construction. Cedar Heights Drive traffic is currently detoured around the intersection closure by posted detour signage on the following roadways: Viking Road, Prairie Parkway, Greenhill Road, and University Avenue. Chadwick Drive will be open for business and residential access to Greenhill Road throughout the remainder of the project.
