Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- The West 4th Street alleyway on the south side of the street has been poured. On East 4th Street, the contractor is working on the preparation of the roadway ahead of the paving contractor. The paving contractor will begin setting up the pavement to be paved the following week. The contractor will resume placing the concrete amenity pads along the parkade, and will be followed by the bricklaying contractor as they complete the west side of the 500 block.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of August 30, crews will be continuing with paving operations on the northern lanes of W. 1st Street/ HWY 57 by completing tie-in paving to the adjacent residential side streets. Depending on weather, crews will continue to grade in preparation for paving the center turn lane on W. 1st Street/WHY 57. Head-to-Head traffic pattern on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 will remain on the southern lanes. The current construction will continue to result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection.

2021 Street Construction Project

Brandilynn Boulevard Stage 3 will begin this week. This closure will only cover the segment of Brandilynn Blvd at the eastern driveway of Mcdonald's. This work will include the removals of the concrete.
McClain Drive Stage 2 work will be continuing the installation of the subdrain. The concrete contractor should begin preparations on this street the following week.
Work on Tremont Street has now placed the new curb. This work will be followed by an asphalt mill and overlay.
The asphalt base courses for Cadillac and Pheasant Drive will take place on August 30.
Union Road Recreational Trail
During the week of August 30, crews will continue to prepare for paving operations starting at W. 27th Street and working north. Depending on weather, paving operations will commence mid-week. Traffic will be maintained on Union Road throughout the project, but flaggers may be present at time of paving for the safety of the paving crews.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction (Cedar Heights Drive & Greenhill Road)
For the week of August 30, crews will continue with pavement removal and excavation on the northern half of the Greenhill Road and Cedar Heights Drive intersection. Crews will start with underground utility work later in the week. The current traffic pattern will continue with East and Westbound traffic on Greenhill Road maintained throughout construction. Cedar Heights Drive traffic is currently detoured around the intersection closure by posted detour signage on the following roadways: Viking Road, Prairie Parkway, Greenhill Road, and University Avenue. Chadwick Drive will be open for business and residential access to Greenhill Road throughout the remainder of the project.
