Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- The contractor will continue working on the hand pours and sidewalk work of West 4th Street over the following few weeks. Removals along East 4th Street have begun and installation of the watermain will continue this week. Lastly, work along the west side of the 400 block portion of the parkade will resume with the placement of the concrete amenity pads this week. Beginning the next week, the brick paving contractor will start laying the remaining bricks.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of July 12, the contractor will begin the last phase of the project. Construction will be focused around the northern lanes on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 adjacent to the Hudson Road intersection, North Genevieve Street intersection, and North Ellen Street intersection. Work will include underground utility-related work, paving, and Right-of-Way restoration. In order for the contractor to begin, a closure of the northern lanes will be required. East and Westbound head-to-head traffic will be maintained throughout construction. The intersection of W. 1st Street/Highway 57 and Hudson Road will be maintained throughout construction. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection. Starting the week of July 12, a traffic pattern change will shift W.1st Street/ HWY 57 head-to-head traffic on the newly constructed southern lanes as crews start on the north half.

Brandilynn Boulevard (West cul-de-sac east through the Andrea Drive intersection)- Stage 2 of Brandilynn Boulevard is mostly prepared for the new concrete surface. The paving contractor will begin setting up for the mainline pave this week and continue paving that section into the following week.
Washington Street- Washington Street is now laying the remaining subdrain and will have the roadway surface prepared for the paving contractor near the end of this week now that the underground utility installation will be finished.
Union Road Recreation Trail
The contractor, Lodge Construction Inc., has finished setting up all SWPPP controls and has started working on clearing and grubbing of the area. They have also started some of the topsoil and structure removals along the ditch line.
