View the latest Cedar Falls street construction updates for the week of June 21, 2021:
Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- The contractor will finish underground work along W 4th Street and begin preparing the roadway surface for pavement. Work along the west side of the 300 block portion of the parkade is completed and will begin bricklaying to the west side of the 400 block beginning the week of June 21.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of June 21, paving operations on the side street south of W. 1st Street/HWY 57 and east of Hudson Road will continue. Head-to-Head traffic pattern on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 will remain on the northern lanes. This construction will result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection.

2021 Street Construction Project

McClain Drive- Stage 1 of McClain Drive will have the concrete hand crews continue with intersections, sidewalks, and driveway approaches.
Brandilynn Boulevard (West cul-de-sac east through the Andrea Drive intersection)- Stage 1 of Brandilynn Boulevard will have the remaining concrete hand pours and the remaining driveway approaches to complete this week.
Olive Street- Olive Street will have concrete hand crews complete intersections, followed by sidewalk, and driveways.
Washington Street- Washington Street has begun with removals and will continue with the installation of the new watermain, underground utitlie placement will conintue.
Restoration work for the new asphalt overlays has been completed on Garden and Iowa. The final surface coat will take place on Lilac, Calumett, and 17th Street this week.
