[ARCHIVED] West 4th Street and 300 Block Closure Notice

W. 4th St closure map

Beginning the week of May 3, 2021, the contractor will begin removal and replacement of the existing concrete sidewalk on the west side of the 300 Block of Main Street. In order for the contractor to begin removal, a partial sidewalk closure will be required. The closure will be in effect for four (4) to five (5) weeks, depending on the weather.

Also beginning the week of May 3, 2021, the contractor will begin removal of the existing roadway on West 4th St. from Washington to Main Street to begin the underground utility work, including new water main and storm sewer. In order for the contractor to begin removal, a full road closure will be required. Depending on the weather, the closure of these two blocks will be in effect for twelve (12) to fourteen (14) weeks, at which point the street will be reopened to traffic.

For safety's sake, please stay away from the fenced-off construction area. During the closure, temporary pedestrian access will be maintained by providing a fine-gravel walkway from each doorway to the temporary access walks.
