Beginning April 12, 2021, the Iowa DOT’s contractor, PCI, will be continuing with West 1st Street/HWY 57 construction by reconstructing the southwestern corner of the Hudson Road intersection and also by starting removals on the south side of HWY 57 between Hudson Road and Francis Street. A full closure of the adjacent lanes will be required until paving is complete.
East and Westbound traffic on HWY 57 and North and Southbound traffic on Hudson Road will be maintained throughout construction. This construction will result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection, trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection. The lane closures for this phase will be in effect for approximately one month, depending on the weather.
For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed section of the street.
