The brick paver contractor is expecting to begin work on the West 2nd Street Sidewalks a week from Monday. On Wednesday, October 7th, Matthias and Cardinal Construction set the twig benches along the parkade. Beginning Monday, October 9th, the East 2nd Street sidewalk will be closed to begin the removal and replacement of brick pavers.

Expected project completion date: Fall 2020

Additional Construction Note: The Clay Street Drainage Project is taking place in the Alley and Park between Clay/Washington and 16th/17th Street. The bio-cell needs mulch, plants, and hydro-seeding. The alleyway east and west drive lanes are poured as well as the approaches and sidewalk on the North side. Cunningham will be working on the South end sidewalk and then Benton's should be coring out the sidewalk along 16th. The other bio-cell and sidewalk along W. 15th Street still remain as well.
