As a reminder, the downtown area has been evacuated for safety reasons. Downtown is closed to all traffic, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
People may report sewer emergencies and sewer flooding to the Emergency Operations Center at 319-243-2700.
Public Works has suspended all recycling operations until further notice.
People needing tetanus shots should call Black Hawk County Emergency Operations Center at 319-291-2413 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Water conservation is necessary to maintain sewer treatment plant operations; not due to any concerns with water supply contamination. The water is safe to drink.
