[ARCHIVED] The Cedar River crested at 102.13 at 2:00 a.m. today, June 11, 6:20 a.m.

The Cedar River crested at 102.13 feet at 2 a.m. The old record was 96.2 feet in 1999. Volunteers are needed to reinforce levies. They should report beginning at 9 a.m. to UNI-Dome North lot. Downtown is closed to all traffic, including bicycles and pedestrians. Regular garbage route are in effect, but may be delayed.

What citizens can do:
Conserve water
Volunteer to fill sandbags;
report to UNI-Dome, north parking
lot, beginning at 9 a.m.
No sightseeing
