As the state of Iowa lifts certain restrictions in accordance with Governor Kim Reynolds public health proclamation issued on May 26, 2020, public park facilities will be able to reopen in Cedar Falls beginning June 1, 2020. This includes the use of playground equipment, shelters, and restrooms at the parks.
The Governor’s proclamation also again permits social gatherings, including community and recreational, of 10 people or more beginning June 1, 2020, provided that public health measures are followed including maintaining six feet of distance from others.
The City continues to remind the public to practice safe social distancing when out and to use face coverings and frequent handwashing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
