The Middle Cedar River Watershed is a 1.5 million-acre watershed that spans parts of 10 counties in Eastern Iowa.
It includes some of the richest farmland in the nation and the communities of Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Cedar Falls. Many local and state project partners have come together to develop goals and objectives for this watershed’s plan. The draft goals and objectives include ood risk reduction, water quality improvements, improved river access, and habitat restoration. This open house is an opportunity for you to learn and comment.
