Nick Taiber has been a resident of Cedar Falls since 2004. Nick is an avid traveler, reader, runner, bicyclist, and home improver. Born and raised in Waverly, Nick graduated from the University of Iowa with an Industrial Engineering degree in 1999.

Nick was appointed by City Council on January 20, 2020, to fill the vacancy that was created when previous At-Large representative Rob Green resigned to begin his mayoral term on January 2, 2020. Nick will fulfill the duration of Rob Green’s original term which ends December 31, 2021.
Nick began his career as a process engineer for Deere & Company in Moline. In 2004, he returned to the Cedar Valley joining CPM Roskamp as business development manager. In this role, he focuses on company growth through business process improvement and acquisitions.
Commitment to Community
At each stop in life, Nick has committed to causes for the betterment of community – from his own neighborhood to villages on the other side of the world. Nick has served on neighborhood boards, preservation commissions, bicycle and roadway task forces, and international development boards.
Nick states, “I strive to engage myself in organizations that have an impact in the way we live. It is an honor to serve our city and citizens. I look forward to working with citizens, staff, mayor, and council to fulfill our community vision and goals to make Cedar Falls a great community to live, work, and play.”
