Clean Trees
Clean trees do not have ornaments, tinsel, flocking, or attached tree stands.
These are considered yard waste. They are accepted at the Cedar Falls Transfer Station located at East 15th Street and State Street on Mondays for a $0.75 disposal fee.
They can also be picked up: Cut to 4 feet lengths, attach a Cedar Falls Christmas tree tag to a portion of the tree for $1.25, place the tree at the curb, and call (319) 273-8629 for a Monday pickup.
Unclean Trees
Unclean trees have flocked limbs or are heavily tinseled.
These are considered garbage. They are accepted at the Transfer Station Tuesday through Friday for a $0.75 disposal fee.
They can also be picked up: Cut to 4 feet lengths, attach a Cedar Falls Christmas tree tag to a portion of the tree for $1.25, and place at the curb on your normal garbage day pickup.
Christmas tree tags are $1.25 and available at the following locations:
