About School Resource Officer

A School Resource Officer is not a security guard or an officer that has been placed temporarily in a school in response to a crisis situation but rather acts as a comprehensive resource for the schools.

Officer Liesel Reimers

Liesel is a certified law enforcement officer permanently assigned to the Cedar Falls School District throughout the school year.

Roles

Officer Reimers has been specially trained to perform three roles for the Cedar Falls Schools:

  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Law-Related Counselor
  • Law-Related Education Teacher
