Downtown

The historic Cedar Falls downtown district is home to a wide array of locally-owned shops, unique restaurants, and a thriving nightlife plus year-round events for all ages.

Parking: The downtown district parking options include 15 minute, 2 hour, 3 hour, and 24 hour (overnight) parking. Free on-street parking is also available. To view downtown parking maps, click here.

Parking Enforcement Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station: A dual-port Level 2 charger is located on West Second Street (across from City Hall). The charger is compatible with most electric vehicles. Learn more at cfu.net/EV.

Met Bus: Explore the beautiful district with ease aboard the downtown MET transit shuttle! The shuttle runs Thursday – Sunday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through January 19, 2020. College Hill

Adjacent to the University of Northern Iowa, the College Hill district boasts unique and innovative recreational, educational, retail, entertainment and cultural activities.

Parking: College Hill offers 15 minute, 1 hour, 2 hour, and metered parking spots (up to 10 hours). To view the College Hill parking map, click here.
