About the Park
Acquired in 1987, this large tract was acquired from the Iowa Department of Transportation after serving as a borrow site for the Highway 58 construction. South Lake has 23 surface acres, North Lake has seven surface acres. These are passive areas with wetlands and prairie grasses.
