The Building Maintenance Section provides general building maintenance to all public and city buildings. Services we provide other city departments are:
Energy Management: Energy benchmarking programs are used to track energy usage in Public Buildings to ensure systems are running efficiently as possible. Building control systems are utilized to monitor and report any alarm conditions and schedule systems to maximize energy savings in Public Buildings. An annual energy conservation program is utilized to upgrade lighting and building mechanical systems for future energy savings.
Building Improvements and Restoration: The Building Maintenance Section is responsible for exterior and interior improvements and restoration of city buildings.
Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC: This section maintains building electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in city buildings.
Custodial Services: Janitorial cleaning services are completed by a contracted vendor under the supervision of the Building Maintenance Section.
