The City of Cedar Falls provides automated or dumpster service to apartment complexes.
Private Haulers
Apartments containing four or more units may obtain the services of a private refuse hauler instead of using the city's refuse services. The private hauler must meet standards set forth by the city. If the hauler fails to follow these standards the city retains the right to begin refuse pickup once more.
Special Refuse Containers
Arrangements may be made with the Public Works Department if a special refuse condition exists. The solution to the situation must be beneficial to both the citizen and the city. Each situation is judged upon its own merit and must have the approval of the Public Works Director if the special condition and pick up procedure is to be allowed.
