Flood Information
Spring and summer weather brings with it potential severe storms, flooding and tornados. The effect of this year’s snowfall on the river level is already posing flooding issues along the Cedar River and its tributaries. It is always a good idea to be prepared and have all contingency plans in place.
Now is the time to review family emergency preparedness plans, including a list of items needed in the event that evacuation becomes necessary. A brochure that provides guidance on flood levels and evacuation notices is available using the link on the left side of this page.
