Candidate’s Physical Ability Test (CPAT) Information
PLEASE NOTE FINAL CPAT TESTING INFORMATION:
Feb. 16: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Final CPAT.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled test time. Be sure to bring
ID, proper clothing. You have one opportunity to pass. Also, review
the video before coming to be sure you understand what you must do to
pass.

Cedar Falls Fire Rescue Department
The Cedar Falls Fire Rescue Department provides fire and rescue services to 29.1 square miles inside the city limits, protecting approximately 34,000 citizens and close to a billion dollars in fixed property.

Additionally, the Fire Department provides protection services for approximately thirty (30) square miles for the Union and Washington Townships, increasing the protected population to over 40,000.
Cedar Falls Fire Rescue is operated under the direction of Chief John Schilling. The Department takes pride in being an efficient, well-trained, and equipped organization. It provides fire and rescue services from two locations.
The Main Station, "Fire Headquarters" is located at 18th and Main Streets, and the satellite, or second station, is located on Lone Tree Road, which serves all areas north of the Cedar River.
