The Cedar Falls Police Department serves a population of over 39,000 and shares a border with the City of Waterloo.

Currently, there are a total of forty-two sworn officers, two full-time civilian, eight community service officers, and 12 Reserve Officers.

Our mission is to actively work with city, university, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and others to develop a team of community problem solvers who recognize the value that their interdependence plays in improving the quality of life in Cedar Falls while administering, supporting, and facilitating the efficient performance of the operational units that provide the city with professional and coordinated law enforcement services that strive to capitalize on each member's potential to contribute by providing the most exemplary of service.
