What We Do
The Cedar Falls Police Department’s Hostage Negotiation Team consists of one Lieutenant and two Patrol Officers that respond to incidents involving hostages or suspects who have barricaded themselves in building.
At the scene, the Hostage Negotiators and the Major Incident Response Team work together to attempt to conclude an incident without injury to the suspect, hostages or officers.
