Rental Conversion Hardship Committee
The City of Cedar Falls adopted a moratorium on the issuance of any minimum rental housing occupancy permits for single-family residential dwellings located in the R-1SF, R-1 and R-2 zoning districts on August 18, 2014. The resolution identifies circumstances that may pose a particular hardship and therefore may warrant a temporary rental permit. An application for hardship must be submitted, reviewed and approved in order to obtain a temporary rental permit. A committee composed of three city staff members will review each request.
