Rental Conversion Hardship Committee
Committee Information
The City of Cedar Falls adopted a moratorium on the issuance of any minimum rental housing occupancy permits for single-family residential dwellings located in the R-1SF, R-1 and R-2 zoning districts on August 18, 2014.  The resolution identifies circumstances that may pose a particular hardship and therefore may warrant a temporary rental permit.  An application for hardship must be submitted, reviewed and approved in order to obtain a temporary rental permit.  A committee composed of three city staff members will review each request.

The Hardship Application is available here.

Meetings
Committee meetings will be held weekly, as needed.  Committee meetings may result in a decision or a request for additional material.  To confirm the next meeting, please check the calendar here.
