Greenhill Road and University Avenue Intersection Road Construction

The City of Cedar Falls has awarded the Greenhill Road Extension Project to Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa. The contractor will extend Greenhill Road from Hudson Road to W. 27th Street. Funding for this project is provided through federal aid and general obligation bonds.

Beginning as early as Tuesday, September 5, the contractor will begin work on the intersection of the new portion of Greenhill Road and University Avenue. This work will require a full road closure between Rasmusson Towing (9716 University Avenue) and the Hillcrest Park apartments (9614 University Avenue) and is expected to last 6–8 weeks.

A detour and signing will be put in place which routes traffic around the construction on Hudson Road, W. 27th Street, and Union Road.

For safety's sake, please observe road closure signage and refrain from entering the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed street.

If you want to receive road closure notices by e-mail, visit www.cedarfalls.com/notify and follow the instructions for road construction as shown.
