Cedar Falls Downtown Streetscape Update: Week of May 18

Beginning Monday, May 18th, multiple closures will be placed in the area around 3rd and Main Street as we work to improve the area:

  • The contractor will begin reconstructing the sidewalk on the south side of West 3rd Street. To perform this work, a sidewalk closure will be in effect for six (6) to eight (8) weeks.
  • The contractor will begin patching the intersection of 3rd and Main Street. To perform this work, a single lane closure will be in effect from Monday to Wednesday (18th – 20th).
  • DCI Group will be working on the west side of the new construction at 302 Main Street. To perform this work, a sidewalk closure will be in effect for three (3) weeks.

Please note, no business hours are affected by construction. To learn about services in the Cedar Falls Downtown District, please visit communitymainstreet.org. We are excited about the progress in the area and thank you for your understanding as we work to improve the district!
