The Planning and Zoning Commission is a nine-member board appointed by the City Council with each member serving a five-year term. The commission is responsible for the review and recommendation of all Zoning Ordinance revisions, preliminary and final plats, rezoning requests, public right of way vacations, easement vacations, development site plans, and street naming requests to mention a few. The Commission's recommendations are forwarded to the City Council, where a final decision is made.
The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm at City Hall, 220 Clay Street, Cedar Falls Iowa 50613. Meetings are open to the public, televised on Cedar Falls Cable TV channel 15, and are also available via the Planning & Zoning videos archive.
