Parking Permits
Parking permits may be purchased for unlimited parking in municipal lots. Permits are lot specific. Parking is on first come, first served basis.
$3 for a Daily Construction Pass
$35 for a Monthly Parking Pass (including construction)
Parking Permits are now available for purchase at: https://smartcity.ipsgroup.com/cedarfalls. Permits may still be purchased in person at City Hall, 220 Clay Street, Cedar Falls.
The purchase and proper registration of a lot-specific parking permit entitle the motor vehicle to be parked in the designated off-street municipal parking lots for a period of up to 48 consecutive hours without penalty. The purchase of a parking permit does not guarantee the purchaser a parking space.
How to Pay a Parking Citation
Mailing Payments
Parking citation payments can be mailed using the yellow envelopes provided with the ticket. To avoid late fees, adequate time should be allowed for payment processing. Responsibility for proof of payment rests with the violator. Do not mail cash.
Drop-Off Locations
Payments may also be dropped into the fine boxes located in the lobby of City Hall or inside University Book and Supply. Responsibility for proof of payment rests with the violator. Cash payments are discouraged.
